St. Jude Thaddeus

St. Jude was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He is traditionally identified with Jude, brother of James, and the author of the Epistle of Jude. He is invoked in desperate situations because his New Testament letter stresses perseverance in difficult times. Many miracles have been attributed to his intercession.
